Nippon Aluminum Alkyls, Ltd. (NAA) was established in August 1968 to produce and sell aluminum alkyls. In March 1970, NAA completed construction of a plant on a part of the site of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (MCI) in Osaka. NAA began operation in August 1970. Since then, NAA has contributed to the development of the petrochemical industry by providing customers worldwide with high-quality aluminum alkyls.
Albemarle Corporation (now its wholly owned subsidiary Ketjen Corporation) acquired 50% share of NAA in March 1997, becoming 50/50 joint venture between Albemarle and MCI. After over quarter century of cooperation, MCI acquired remaining portion of NAA from Ketjen in October 2025. With this change, NAA started a new chapter as wholly owned subsidiary of MCI.
Same as before, focusing on the growing Asian market, NAA supplies high-quality organometallic products such as aluminum alkyls. Through serving as your partner, NAA wishes to be a company that meets diverse customers’ needs and always looks to the future.
